Microsoft.com/link – Link Microsoft and Xbox
Using Microsoft’s website, it is easy to link your Microsoft account with your Xbox console. This will enable you to sync device settings across multiple devices, access your Xbox Live subscription, and more. Here’s how to get started:
Step 1: Visit Microsoft Account Website
Visit microsoft.com/link and log in using the credentials for the Microsoft account that you want to be linked with your Xbox console.
Step 2: Choose the “Link a Device” Option
Once logged in, go to the “Your Devices” tab located on the left side of the page. From there, choose the “Link a device” option located at the top right corner of the page beside the “Manage Your Devices” button.
Step 3: Select “Xbox Console”
After clicking “Link a device”, you will see a list of various devices that can be linked with your existing Microsoft account such as Windows Phones, Android devices, etc. Select “Xbox Console” from this list and click the “Next” button at the bottom of this page.
Step 4: Enter Security Code
You will be asked for a security code for additional verification purposes before the final linking process begins. There are two options available here; either enter 8 digit security code inside the blank field or use app authentication (if having an authentic mobile app installed on a supported device). After entering the required information correctly, click “Next”.
Step 5: Select Console As Primary Device
Now you have successfully created a link between your existing Microsoft account and Xbox console but still, need to set it as the primary device for it to sync settings across multiple devices associated with the same account. To do that select console from the list of connected devices (it will appear as the default selection) then check individual privacy settings by clicking “Customize Settings”. Once all configurations are done properly, hit the “Set As Primary” button given at the bottom right corner of the page then click “Done”.
Congratulations! You have successfully created a link between your existing Microsoft account and Xbox console allowing you both to take advantage of its features such as data synchronization across multiple devices, accessing rewards earned through various subscriptions, etc.
